The Striped Dress

Thursday, October 15, 2015

It's safe to say I'm not a pants girl. With short legs and the thighs of a former dancer, I typically dread shopping for fall/winter bottoms. Since New York is still welcoming some transitional weather, I'm taking advantage of every last opportunity to make use of my summer wardrobe. Versatile pieces like this striped number are sure to stick around for a while.

Dress: c/o ACEVOG | Jacket: Shein
Boots: c/o FRYE | Bag: ASOS (similar)

With all the commuting I take on each day, comfort is key. Knit dresses like this are my favorite to keep around because they merge style, convenience, and versatility all into one easy piece. Is anyone else annoyingly sensitive to most denim and pant fabrics? Winter, I'm not ready for you.

With that in mind I tend to layer my dresses and skirts as long as the temperature allows me, with my favorite outerwear being dusters and trench coats. This Shein piece is particularly perfect for the autumn wind while adding some movement to the look as a whole. The result is an outfit that is ready for whatever the day and season may bring. What are some summer pieces you're introducing to fall?

  6. I'm not a pants kind of girl either but it's too cold to wear dresses and skirts all year long heheh. Loving that you're taking advantage of the transitional period and working this dress and waterfall jacket!

  13. Loving this outfit so much - the color combination of black white and blush pink are just perfect as are pairing a classic preppy stripped shirt dress with a loose trench! And I agree, comfort really IS key.

  18. Always use sunscreen to guard DermaLuxe your skin from harmful UV rays. Even if the sun is not be goal, you can yet be taking in harmful rays. To get your hands on a more consistent jacket of sunscreen, apply it at the forefront your makeup sponge. Your hands stay cleaner, and your skin absorbs it faster, too.http://www.skinphysiciantips.com/do-not-buy-dermaluxe-must-read/
