Sheinside aviator jacket | Zara sweater | Hollister olive green pants | PacSun booties
It's officially the last day of December! How crazy is that?! It really just flew by. 2013 was a year of countless changes, and while I won't bore you with the details, I just want to express my gratitude for everything that has happened. This was my first full year as a college student, and I couldn't be more thankful for all the experiences I have gained in so little time. Thank you so much to you as well, for reading my posts even though my blog is in its infancy stages. I'm looking forward to what 2014 has to offer!
Today's outfit features a cozy aviator jacket from Sheinside that I wore while in Virginia for Christmas (linked below). The faux shearling makes it extra comfortable in the cold winters of NYC, but still fashionable. I paired it with an earthy color palette, including my favorite olive green pants and tan booties. Judging by this and my last post, I must be missing autumn too much. I also recommend buying Zara's knits (especially if they're on sale). This sweater keeps me so warm because it is perfectly fitted. The deep v-neck also adds a touch of femininity to an otherwise basic sweater. Overall, I wanted to go for a more cozy look to match my relaxed mood over the break.
I hope you enjoyed the holidays and are now preparing for New Years Eve! I'm always excited to bring in the New Year with my closest friends. This year, I will be overlooking the Manhattan skyline. Doesn't get better than that! Let me know how you will be celebrating this year, and what you'll be wearing! I'll talk to you next year :)

Forever 21 blazer | American Eagle boyfriend jeans | H&M booties and necklace
Today's look features a casual vibe for the post-Christmas relaxation (which also includes after Christmas shopping of course). It's been so nice to spend quality time with my family and not have to worry about school or work. I miss it already!
This is my absolute favorite pair of jeans because they're both comfortable and trendy. I'm not a regular American Eagle shopper, but I can definitely vouch for the quality of their jeans. I have a feeling I'll be keeping this pair for a while. A pair of boyfriend jeans is the perfect piece to spend a casual day in without losing style. I realize that I should start adding some color to this blog, so I paired the jeans with a burnt orange blazer from Forever 21. The color is reminiscent of the fall time, and I thought it matched perfectly with the backgrounds of these photos.
Speaking of, how beautiful is this view?! I loved waking up to the sight of the lake behind my aunt's house. There is also this colorful array of canoes docked nearby that I thought would add an interesting effect to my photos. I've always wanted to live by lake like this - can you imagine the serenity? This was truly a relaxing holiday. I hope you've all been enjoying yourselves as well!
A Merry Little Christmas

Zara ribbed turtleneck | Sheinside skirt | H&M necklace | Forever 21 heels
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday! I'm writing to you from my aunt's house in Virginia, which has this gorgeous view of a lake (shown above). If only we were south enough to take their deck boat out again! I also got to see my 2 year old cousin who is cuter than ever. This Christmas was simpler than usual, but still a lovely time spent with family. I'd love to hear how you spent your holiday!
This year I decided to wear one of my favorite new mini skirts in a bright Christmas red. After seeing Aimee Song rock so many of these, I just had to try one out for myself! P.S. - Click the photo below for the link to the exact skirt I am wearing. This Zara turtleneck top is also a closet favorite. I love the subtle ribbed detail that gives it texture and of course, the pockets. They make the top more interesting than your average turtleneck. I spent Christmas with just a small part of my family, so I wanted to dress up without getting too glitzy. Thus, this outfit was my way of looking chic as a holiday homebody.
Now that Christmas is over, it's time to start planning my New Year's Eve look! Any suggestions/ideas? Let me know! Talk to you soon!

Forever 21 cardigan & shorts | Uniqlo turtleneck | H&M necklace | Zara booties
Happy Monday! This may be one of the few Mondays I enjoy because it means Christmas is only two days away!! I am beyond excited, and I wish you all a lovely time no matter what this season means to you. In today's post I'm sporting the shorts-over-tights look with a semi-monochromatic color scheme. It was over 60 degrees when I wore this -- in late December! Oh, how I miss the fall weather.
I think this look could be worn during both day and night. If I were actually going to a party, I could just take off the cardigan, throw on some red lipstick, and be good to go! Big thanks to one of my co-workers for this necklace as my Secret Santa gift! I haven't been drawn to statement necklaces for a while, but this one is just perfect. It matches by winter color preferences completely and adds some playfulness to this outfit. I think that holiday outfits are all about sparkle, fun, and class - all at once! What are you planning on wearing to your holiday/New Years parties? I'd love to get some inspiration!
All About the Shoulder || Favorite Faux Fur Vest

Target x Neiman Marcus Skaist Taylor faux fur vest | Uniqlo turtleneck | Tahari boots
It's finally winter break!! Can you hear the sighs of relief from college students everywhere? Now that I've finished my exams, I am more than ready for Christmas! How are you planning to spend the holiday (if you are celebrating)? I'd love to hear!
Today's post features my absolute favorite faux fur vest from the Target x Neiman Marcus collaboration. It has these awesome voluminous shoulders that make me feel like I'm channeling the 80s. Whether you're a fan of shoulder accents or not, there's no doubting that this vest is just plaid old fun.
Because of the bold statement the vest makes, I paired it with a simpler look underneath. This might be my third post in a row wearing a Uniqlo turtleneck, but I honestly can't stop! They are seriously my favorite layering pieces for the winter, and I urge you all to buy them in multiple colors! I am so proud of this boot purchase as well because of the crazy deal I managed to snag. Big thanks to the Loehmann's in my hometown for offering: 60% off all shoes, 30% off your entire purchase, and 10% off with your Insider Club card. As a result, I got these $119 Tahari boots for $30. One of my best sale purchases yet!!
I hope you are all doing well as the core of the holiday season comes around. Have a relaxing weekend, and I'll talk to you again soon!

Thanks to the snowstorm that hit the Northeast, I was finally able to spend a relaxing weekend at home. It's been so long since I've been able to hang around the house with my family in front of the TV. It was a much needed stress-free time. When I did go out to make a stop at Target (of course), I threw on this casual grayscale-themed look. This cardigan has become one of my absolutely favorites this season! I didn't think it was possible, but it actually makes me look tall! It is super comfortable, especially thrown over a Uniqlo turtleneck. I have a growing collection of these tops because Uniqlo is brilliant when it comes to comfort. I definitely want to try out those infamous Heattech pieces! Any reviews?
I hope you all are having a lovely week so far. It's exactly one week until Christmas, and I couldn't be more excited!! For those who don't celebrate, enjoy the holiday season and spend time with family if you can! I'm so grateful to be able to do just that. Thanks for stopping by!
P.S. - Big thanks to my photographer & sister for letting me borrow this fringe scarf! It matched my pants perfectly and I just had to wear it!
Winter Wonderland
Sunday, December 15, 2013
Who's feeling the holiday spirit?! The Northeast sure was during yesterday's day-long snowstorm! The blanket of snow in my backyard was just too beautiful to ignore. Luckily, I wore the softest jacket ever from my latest (and first) Sheinside order. It's so lightweight, but still keeps me warm enough in the freezing weather. The color and texture are just perfect for the winter season too!
I know I must look crazy for wearing a crop top in this weather, but there's something about the slightly exposed midriff that's both classy and sexy. Crop top season doesn't have to be over! I brought it into winter by creating an all-black look with these riding pants. I was fortunate enough to get these pants half off at American Apparel thanks to my roommate. I know they are on the pricey side, but if any of you happen to score a great discount, I highly suggest buying them! They are extremely comfortable and warm, while offering a trendier look than leggings.
I hope everyone is having a lovely holiday season! Good luck on finals if you are taking them, and thanks for stopping by!
