I apologize for my brief absence from this blog! It has been difficult to create posts without a regular photographer, but I should be back on track as of now. Today's travel diary is a special one because it marks my second time exploring Beijing. I visited China seven years ago with my family, but without a strong sense of appreciation for everything the culture has to offer. This time was different; it was magical. Nanjing proved to be a lovely escape from the urban chaos of Shanghai. Despite the sometimes overwhelming swarms of tourists, the city's enormous scenic areas are stunning distractions. It is a small but bustling city, and while I probably won't need a return trip anytime soon, I highly recommend a visit to anyone who hasn't already done so.
