7 Reasons to Travel Alone
Friday, February 26, 2016
During my month away in Europe, I spent a week exploring the beautiful country of Portugal on my own. It was not a long time, but it was enough for me to discover the beauty of traveling solo and the effects it has on self-awareness and perspective. Today I am sharing seven reasons to travel alone in hopes of convincing you to do the same one day. I promise you, despite the challenges, you will never regret it.
Office to Outing
Wednesday, February 24, 2016
In just under one month, I will officially be joining the corporate workforce of New York City. Naturally, the first means of preparation I could think of was the wardrobe. Despite the impending blow to my bank account, I am excited by the opportunity to expand my closet into a newly mature phase. As always, I prefer investing in pieces that work for various occasions, both in and out of the office.

Until recently, I've prided myself on refusing to take a break from blogging since this site was launched. On multiple occasions I would carry my backpack home to Jersey for just a day to take several weeks' worth of photos in preparation.
If you've been following along on Instagram, you'll know I just returned from a month of backpacking through Europe shortly following a few weeks in Asia. Needless to say this kind of travel does not quite accommodate blogging, so I finally took my first slight break in 2.5 years. And you know what? It was worth it.
Favorite Neighborhoods: London's Notting Hill
Friday, February 19, 2016
I have a thing for colorful, cozy neighborhoods. Perhaps it's the cause of living in the concrete jungle, but there is something about London's Notting Hill with its pastel townhouses and hidden mews that tugs at my heart strings. I made a last minute stroll through this cheery neighborhood hours before my flight, and it was the perfect conclusion to my adventures through England. Keep scrolling for snippets of my favorite moments from this romantic part of town.
Welcome to Lisbon
Thursday, February 4, 2016
Olรก from Portugal! Following an amazing trip around the United Kingdom, I have just embarked on my first solo journey in the vibrant city of Lisbon. Admittedly I was a bit worried about this leg of the trip, but spending just one day here has dispelled all fears. From the welcoming people to the quietly beautiful streets, I am already in love with what this city has to offer. The spring-like weather is absolutely an added plus as well.
As I mentioned earlier I will be posting more detailed recaps once I return home, but I could not wait to share some photos from my first day exploring Lisbon´s central districts, Bairro Alto and Chiado. Above is a photo looking onto Rua Augusta from the Arca Triunfal. Enjoy!
