In just under one month, I will officially be joining the corporate workforce of New York City. Naturally, the first means of preparation I could think of was the wardrobe. Despite the impending blow to my bank account, I am excited by the opportunity to expand my closet into a newly mature phase. As always, I prefer investing in pieces that work for various occasions, both in and out of the office.
My latest work wardrobe additions have been this sleeveless waistcoat and skinny scarf from Zara. Though generally basic pieces, they add touches of personality that ensure my style remains intact even in the corporate environment. Finish them off with a monochrome look, and I'm ready for meetings both in the conference room and at happy hour. Of course, I'll probably have to trade out the distressed jeans once my start date rolls around.
How do you shop for your work wardrobe? I would love to hear any tips and tricks below!
This look is something that you can really wear in & out of the office!

How exciting!!! Have you ever lived in NYC before? I just moved here in August and I love it so much. There's always something to do and don't worry there are plenty of places to go shopping for budget friendly pricing! Congrats on the new job. :)
