Baltimore Blues
Thursday, July 30, 2015
My sister and I moved on from Annapolis to Baltimore's Inner Harbor, or as what I see as the Times Square of Maryland. As beautiful as the waterfront area is, it is no doubt a flocking point for tourists without the serenity of Annapolis.
However, within our time of touring with exhaustion and intense heat, we happened upon Fell's Point, an unexpectedly lovely area with history dating back to the 1700s. Hidden in this neighborhood are streets similar those of Annapolis, with cobblestone roads and colorful homes. There is a welcoming, old-city vibe in this environment that takes modern-day Baltimore into a different and refreshing light.
The Colors of Annapolis

A friend of mine recently said that we are spoiled in New York. I couldn't agree more. My life in the city tends to become a whirlwind of stress and haste, which often leads to complete under-appreciation of the world going on outside my own. Despite the oxymoron, sometimes it takes a brief vacation outside of reality to bring us back into it. This past weekend, a drive down to Maryland was just what I needed to take that step back and enjoy life for its simplicity.
The Denim Skirt
Friday, July 24, 2015
When I think of denim skirts, I am suddenly flashing back to my middle school days of lusting over the newest back-to-school collections at abercrombie kids. Yes, even I fell victim to the graphic moose tee and mini skirt combination that inhabited every cool (just kidding) tween's closet. Despite my previous fashion faux-pas, I couldn't be happier that the denim skirt is back and better than ever. When worn with the right pieces, the classic blue mini becomes a staple for your summer wardrobe.
Why It's Okay to Feel Lost
Wednesday, July 1, 2015
I've spent the past few days becoming reacquainted with the city, or the place I'll soon be calling home again. It's funny the way New York works. Despite having this jungle of opportunities, it is easy to lose yourself. Lately I have been feeling a bit lost, but for the first time in my life, I think it's okay.
