We're bringing it into the fall season with Week 2 of the Coutourist Challenge! If you missed last Sunday's post, I've partnered with Coutourist to share thirty ways to wear my favorite of their silk scarves over the course of five weeks. Between work, school, and travel, I value versatile pieces that keep both the luggage light and the photos exciting (do it for the Instagram, you know?). With the help of Coutourist, a few classic outfits transform into countless unique looks.

A Colorful Updo.
Your everyday updo just got an upgrade with some Coutourist color. With hectic travel schedules, I am often guilty of throwing my hair into a ponytail and running out the door. With the help of the Coutourist scarf transformed into an elegant hair accessory, this classic updo will surely turn heads.
The French Twist.
Casual meets classy in one of my new favorite scarf knots. When traveling I prefer sticking with versatile pieces like the everyday t-shirt and jeans. Now you can get away with repeating the casual combination with the addition of the French twist, a chic way to wear your scarf from day to night.
The New Fall Coat.
If you followed along my travels in Shanghai, you might remember seeing this duster coat with the majority of my early spring outfits (#noshame). By simply replacing the belt with a printed scarf, this one coat quickly creates endless looks. Outfit repetition isn't so bad after all.
A Not-So Grey Day.
We all experience that day on a trip when unexpected weather ruins scheduled plans. I spent the last week of summer cruising during hurricane season, and believe me when I say the rain had no mercy. Despite those gloomy days that occasionally come about, your outfit doesn't have to correspond. I tied my Coutourist scarf around a long black coat to brighten up my look on a grey, rainy day.
The Classic Statement.
With all these ideas for wearing a scarf, we can't forget the classics! An easy loop around the neck creates the perfect touch of personality whether you're shopping down the streets or headed to a dinner with the girls.
Upgrading Wardrobe Staples.
There is no doubt that a trench coat is a wardrobe staple for the fall season. For a no-fail look, I tend to stick to these classic pieces when I'm in a rush. By draping the Coutourist scarf under the coat's lapels, the everyday piece gets an unexpected, but fabulous upgrade.

I never thought to use a scarf to accent a trench coat! If only I could wear trench coats here in California!
