Oh hey, February!

So it's the first day of February 2015. I know, I can't believe it either. This year seems to be flying by even quicker than the last, but I couldn't be more excited for the start of the new month. It marks the start of some amazing new adventures that I am anxious to share with you (any guesses?). January has been a much-needed period of calmness, but I am ready to start kicking this year into high gear.

In the meantime, I thought it would be fitting to celebrate February with my first transitional outfit of the year. The Northeast is nowhere near its first signs of spring, but I can't help but get more excited as we slowly move closer to the next season. This look takes all my winter wardrobe tendencies (aka monochrome) and combines them with lighter springtime layers. I love the unrefined look of what I call this "broken windowpane" printed top and how it drapes nicely with the chiffon duster. It's the best way I can give spring an early welcome while still dressing for this brutal winter weather.

  10. I like how you describe your shirt as broken windowpane :P I would have said grid-like marble but I think your description is more accurate :)
