Do you ever have those pieces in your wardrobe that were purchased in the completely wrong season and therefore go unworn for most of the year? This romper is one of them. It is probably no surprise that I'm a fan of monochrome windowpane, so I was more than excited to receive it in romper form last fall. The issue with the Northeast is that our fall/winter seasons do not exactly complement any garment shorter than pants. But hey, I firmly believe that if you love it, wear it. For those of you who are also anxiously waiting to wear your springtime clothing, here's a simple way to get a head start.
There are two easy ways to give your warm weather pieces a winter debut: layering and trusty legwear. A crop sweater complements the romper nicely because it shows the entirety of the shorts for the illusion of elongation. It also helps display a good amount of that springtime layer without compromising your warmth. With the combination of semi-sheer tights and matching black booties, you'll be ready to take on the winter chill with some added elongation as well. Great layering can immediately expand your wardrobe without the need for a shopping spree. Give it a try, and let me know your thoughts!
