Shift Into Fall

Thursday, September 17, 2015

Finding a shift dress that doesn't appear to shorten my legs is like landing on a pot of gold. While petite dressing has its limitations, it has taught me (after many embarrassing outfits) the importance of fit. With every new internship or job position, I like to build a wardrobe of looks suitable for everything my schedule brings, and this dress is no exception.

Dress: Zara | Booties: Topshop
Hat: H&M (similar)

As we move into fall, I'm trading my palm tree prints for darker hues and geometric patterns. This combination in the form of a shift dress makes for one of my new favorite pieces of the season. A printed dress requires little-to-no accessorizing and fortunately for my hectic schedule, can be taken from the office to school, from day to night. I paired this piece with my signature fall hat and booties for a complete outfit that creates a balance between casual and dressed up.

What is your go-to look for the new season? Let me know in the comments below!

  1. Lovely outfit, Christina! I love printed pieces just because I don't have to worry about any accessorizing. My go-to outfit for autumn would be boyfriend jeans, a white tee, and a moto jacket!
