The time has finally come! If you've been following along on Instagram, you'll know that I've been hinting at a major upcoming trip. This time, however, it isn't just a week-long vacation - it's a semester-long study abroad program!
Given the circumstances, I am writing this blog post to ensure that I will not be abandoning Looks by Lau, but instead taking it in a different direction. To find out where I'm headed and what updates are coming to this blog, click below to read more... Any guesses before doing so?

Did anyone guess Shanghai?

That's right, I'm traveling across the world to spend the next few months in Shanghai, China! It is going to be quite the challenge, but an exciting one nonetheless. In terms of blogging, unfortunately I won't have a photographer to take my outfit photos or much time to do so either. However, I will definitely be sharing as many travel and food stories as possible, along with some impromptu outfit shots. I think this could be a very interesting transition for Looks by Lau, and I truly hope you enjoy it. Please let me know if you have any requests, and better yet, travel suggestions! I'd love to hear any tips from those of who you have been to China. Here's to new adventures!
so excited for you! and looking forward to seeing your posts during your term abroad! :)

ReplyDeleteMarijuana—also called weed, herb, pot, grass, bud, ganja, Mary Jane, and a vast number of other slang terms—is a greenish-gray mixture of the dried flowers of Cannabis sativa.
ReplyDeleteThe main active chemical in marijuana is THC (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol), the psychoactive ingredient. The highest concentrations of THC are found in the dried flowers, or buds. When marijuana smoke is inhaled, THC rapidly passes from the lungs into the bloodstream and is carried to the brain and other organs throughout the body. THC from the marijuana acts on specific receptors in the brain, called cannabinoid receptors, starting off a chain of cellular reactions that finally lead to the euphoria, or "high" that users experience. Feeling of a relaxed state, euphoria, and an enhanced sensory perception may occur. With higher THC levels in those who are not used to the effects, some people may feel anxious, paranoid, or have a panic attack.
Cannabis plant used for medical or recreational purposes. The main psychoactive part of cannabis is tetrahydrocannabinol, one of the 483 known compounds in the plant, including at least 65 other cannabinoids.
