It should be no surprise that I am an advocate for the all-black outfit. Depending on where you're from, wearing black can mean anything from chic to scary. One thing it should never be, however, is boring. When wearing entirely black, I like to create a mix of textures to keep the look interesting. In this instance, I opted for a faux fur vest and mixed media pants for an even bolder statement. Color is only one element of personal style!

Another tip: Utilize the power of accessories to break up your monochrome outfit. Since the mix of textures is already beyond basic, I kept my accessories rather simple with an olive green clutch and gold ring. There is something effortlessly classic about delicate jewelry like this, especially with the quality provided by EFFRA London. The ring features a hand engraved swallow in 9ct polished gold plate and adds just the right amount of accent to any outfit. As I've said before, black doesn't have to  [and shouldn't] be boring!
