Distressed, But Well-Dressed

Jeans: c/o Machine Jeans
Coat: Forever 21
Heels: Nine West via Macy's (similar)
Clutch: Nine West via TJ Maxx (old)

A year ago, finding a pair of distressed jeans in my closet was unheard of. I had always been hesitant to rock this destroyed look in public with the concern of looking completely disheveled. Now, I can't get enough. Funny how influential fashion trends become. 

For those of you who are also beginning to dip your toes into this trend, rest assured there are ways to juxtapose the casual extremity. To dress up this pair, I opted for an oversized cocoon coat and matching nude heels. These pieces can take your look from day to night even without replacing the distressed jeans. P.S. -- I highly suggest adding Machine Jeans to your denim collection. My legs are very sensitive to poor quality pants, but I can happily say that this pair both feels and fits perfectly.
