I can hardly believe that today is the first of October. To properly greet the first truly autumnal month, I've channelled my monochrome tendencies that usually appear at this time of year. I mentioned in a previous video post that this outfit was created as a style challenge for myself to try out a more bohemian look. I don't believe that style has to be defined in one word. Experimentation is part of what makes getting dressed exciting.

To channel my inner bohemian, I've incorporated a fringe kimono and floppy hat to the look. Kimonos are great layering pieces for the early weeks of fall because they provide both coverage and airiness. To keep in touch with my own style, I made sure to add some of my favorite wardrobe pieces -- my exposed heel booties and black high waisted jeans. For those of you who are looking to experiment with style, I would suggest combining your new and most-worn items together for an easy, effortless transition. So, did my semi-bohemian look succeed?
