This year has perhaps been the most life-changing of mine so far. Between studying abroad, landing my first full-time job, and nearing graduation, I am still overwhelmed by how quickly things can change in a short span of time. Through all the changes and challenges that ensue, I remind myself to stay thankful for everything I have, including the opportunity to live in a city as dynamic as New York.

I'll admit I complain about New York quite often. It is overcrowded, often dirty, and lacks the friendly environment you'll find anywhere else in the country. But behind these conditions is a strong character that you only realize after living here. Amongst the things I am grateful for, many of them relate to my time in this city. I've grown up as a college student, discovered this world of blogging, made lifelong friendships, and stayed close to my family all while living in New York. I can't say my life would be the same anywhere else.
New York is what you make of it, and for me it has provided more opportunity than I could have ever imagined. Regardless of how long I travel or how often I complain, I always come back. New York is home, and for that I am grateful.
