There is no pattern more classic than the stripe. Whether it be on a dress, top, or skirt, rest assured that striped piece will last you a lifetime. I particularly like the pattern in the form of dresses because they can be styled all year long. With countless ways to wear stripes, I've developed a go-to pairing that compliments my petite height.

We all know the striped effects -- horizontals widen and verticals slim down. In an effort to make this dress as flattering as possible, I threw on a long, oversized blazer to lengthen the entire look. The monochrome color palette ensures a slimming silhouette as well. Topped off with a pop of color from my handbag, I have an outfit that is ready for the office, dinner, or anything in between.
