Exploring Style

Top: c/o Pippa Lynn (buy in black here)
Skirt: Forever 21 (similar here)
Heels: Go Jane (similar here)
Bag: ASOS

Maintaining this blog has given me more incentive to explore outside my comfort zone when it comes to style. Since last November, I've experimented with pieces and trends that would have likely made me hesitate a few years ago. As cheesy as it sounds, I can thank blogging for giving me the opportunity to experiment with and discover my personal style. I'm sure my fellow influencers can agree that a blog is a personal diary as much as it is a public gallery.

That being said, today I'm experimenting with the oversized silhouette that I usually avoid because of my (lack of) height. However, I loved the sheer detail of this Pippa Lynn top and couldn't help but try my best to style it. I paired the top with a flared skirt and heels to maintain some femininity and avoid being overwhelmed by fabric. The result is a sports-luxe look that I could easily wear on a day out in the city. It goes to show that with the proper styling, almost any piece can be your perfect fit. There's no harm in trying!

  9. You look great! This is such a cute and classic look <3 I also agree with you about blogging pushing me to get out of my comfort zone when it comes to style -- I've worn so many trends and colors that I probably wouldn't have if I hadn't become a blogger.
